Area = length × width. For an L-shaped room, take the full rectangle and subtract the missing corner; for an irregular space, split it into rectangles and add them up.
The result appears in square feet and square meters, plus square yards (carpet) and the Asian units tsubo, pyeong and jo.
How to use
- Choose rectangle, L-shape or several areas.
- Type lengths in feet (12'6" works) or meters.
- Subtract anything that won't be covered, like a kitchen island.
- Read the area and its conversions.
